Upgrade Problems

While in the final stage of upgrading from NT, when the
systems gets to "registers components" the screen flickers
and the machine restarts, starting the entire process over
again. Ideas?

Sound card, video card, monitor driver problems.
If you have a sound card (don't know why you would) remove
it. IF you can't remove it, disable it in bios.
These are where I ran into problems before.
