I have a Compaq computer with win-xp-home (SP2) on it.
I also have a Win-XP-Pro (SP1) CD which I bought with an ASUS upgrade
motherboard.
Well, the ASUS up grade build of a new system did not work for me and I put
a sledge hammer through the motherboard.
I would like to upgrade the Compaq to XP-PRO.
What problems will I incur if I upgrade my XP-home (sp2) with XP-Pro (sp1)
CD??

AM I screwed? or will it work?

Assuming you have a "Retail Version" of Windows XP Pro:

You'll need to make a SP2 slipstreamed version of your
current Windows XP Pro, then use the new CD to perform an
"Upgrade".

Either one of the following utilities makes slipstreaming
(integrating) SP2 into Windows XP a breeze:

or

AutoStreamer 1.0.33 (preferred)
