Upgrade german XP Home Edition to english XP Pro

My notebook computer came with a german version of XP Home edition. Can I use an english version of XP Pro Upgrade to finally end up with an english version of XP Pro as operating system ? Would that cause any troubles with drivers
I really don't want to re-pave my hard drive and have to install everything again since I do not have the knowledge to get that much involved
On the other hand, could I just install an english version of XP Office on my german XP Home Edition

Thanks for helping out, Bridget

One cannot upgrade from one language version of Windows
to another language version of Windows. You'll have to
purchase a "Full English Version" of Windows XP,
reformat your drive and install it "clean". An "Upgrade Version"
of Windows XP in English will not work unless you have an
actual English version of a Microsoft Windows 95/98/ME/2000
installation CD to use as a qualifier.

You cannot install an English version of XP Office on a German
version of Windows XP. You would need the German version of
Office XP.

No..... you'll need to format the drive then install the full English
