Upgrade from Win2K - uses old winnt folder

Is there any way to either change the windows folder in Win2K to windows
before an upgrade to XP, or force XP to create a windows folder and upgrade
to that? Having some PC's with the OS folder in winnt and some in windows
can be confusing.
