Upgrade from win2000 pro to XP Pro login problem

I updated my pc from win2000 pro
to XP pro SP1, all went smooth
no problems removed pc anywhere which the compatability
checker told me to do
but will not accept my login to the machine
when I setup the machine with 2000 pro
the administrator password was left blank
but I cannot login into the machine
I also tried my user name and password for the Domain
I connect to, but that doenst work either
any ideas, I can reload from scratch , but I dont want to
so any help will be appreciated
 
Was the admin account ever renamed on that machine? If so, try that
password. Otherwise, you may need to reinstall.
