Upgrade dvd decoder

I have upgraded from me to xp home. I am having problems with no sound and a
box keeps appearing to tell me I need to upgrade my dvd decoder. I am
wondering if the two are linked. Can anybody tell me where I can download a
dvd decoder that is compatible. Thanks

You'll have to purchase a DVD Decoder.

If you have upgraded from another prior version of Windows to XP, you will
need to update all hardware drivers to certified XP ones. This should cause
the sound to work again.

If you had a software DVD player in ME, you will now have to un-install it
and install the XP version.
