I would if Google had not destroyed access to the USENET archive.

Are you a Google fan boy, Steve?

JD made it up. And it's great! All Hail JD!!

Someone in (news.software.readers) or maybe in some gaming group
made it up. I would love to provide a citation, dammit. But I
seriously cannot get the Google USENET archive interface to work
properly anymore.

The USENET archive was good for determining appropriate word usage.
In fact, usage is what makes a dictionary. Google's destruction of
the archive is a significant problem.

And what you are implying exactly?
I would if Google had not destroyed access to the USENET archive.

So, no - what a surprise.
Are you a Google fan boy, Steve?

Not a particular fan of anything or anyone IT related.
BTW - it's usually 'fanboi'

Any particular need to post the full headers of my post, or do you just
enjoy wasting bandwidth?

And what you are implying exactly?

You look like a sheep, Steve.
So, no - what a surprise.

That's right, Steve, Google sucks.
Not a particular fan of anything or anyone IT related. BTW - it's
usually 'fanboi'

According to Merriam-Webster, it's "fanboy", Steve. According to the
(alt.usage.english) USENET group, removing the space between two
nouns has become common. Apparently there is some confusion about
that issue. I would cite the relevant posts, but Google makes that
impossible.

By the way... The expression "Hoover" is chiefly British, Steve. I
have never heard anyone in my neighborhood use "Hoover" to mean
"vacuum".

You need to lighten up, Steve.

And you need to learn grammar. There's no comma needed in your statement
(should be a full stop at the end of course). :)

In my old neighborhood (US Navy carrier decks), the S-3 was referred to as the
"Hoover" because of the sounds made by the big suckers hanging under the
wings....
