Updgrade from XP H.E. To XP Prof.

Hi,

My laptop has win xp home edition intalled on it. this
version of xp does not support logging on to a domain.
Therefore i need to updrade to xp professional which
supports logging on to domains. But the problem is that i
do not have an xp installabe cd, only the cd the came with
the laptop. Can i upgrade to xp prof. without the xp
installable cd. if yes then pls. let me know how... ???

Ask the manufacturer of the computer for help. He should know if the
CD that comes with the computer can be used for upgrading Windows.
Technically you simply need an Upgrade version of Windows XP
Professional to install that OS.
