I am currently running Windows ME (with many problems). I
want to upgrade to XP. I have a full version on disk.
Can I just install it or do I need to wipe off drive,
format.....

Hi, as long as it's a Full Retail version you just need to boot from the CD
and select "Upgrade"

If you're having many problems with ME, you may have even more by
upgrading to XP. Be sure you use the upgrade advisor first
(you can download it from MS, or use the copy that's on your full
version XP disk).

I upgraded from ME to XP Home and had some problems with various
programs and settings. Eventually, I started over and did a clean
install. Of course it was lots of work installing programs again and
so forth, but in the end the system ran a lot better. Your results
may be different.

If it's a Full version and not an OEM version (which many people
confuse with the Full version), you can upgrade over the top of
Me.
