Updating Local Computer with Cached Domain Credentials via VPN

D

I have an user who works remotely. In order to work, he logs into the
domain via VPN using his local machine credentials. Because he does
not remember his computer's user domain password and is unable to come
into the office physically, he has to log into his computer locally and
then VPN in using another account. Is there a way to update his domain
cached credentials on his computer while he is logged in locally to his
computer? Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated.

You can't update the domain cached credentials without logging into the
domain with that machine and caching the credentials. If the machine is a
member of the domain, can't the user login via VPN with the alternate
credentials.

Check the box on the login screen to login via dialup, then choose the VPN
connection and provide the alternate user info.

OR, if it's an issue of wanting the user to login with his own credentials,
reset his password from the DC, then have him login via VPN as listed above.
