Updating graph label text when cell value changes

I'm using Powerpoint2002. I have a graph created by Microsoft Graph in
Powerpoint and currently the labels on the graph will read "Point A - 34%"
"Point B - 16%" ect and if I go in later on and change the data to say make
point A now 40% the actual chart will change to reflect this but the label
itself will still read 34% and I must go in and manually change it. Is there
a way to update this label or refresh it? Its odd because it will work for
some labels but not all of them. I wasn't the one who originally set this
deck up so I'm not sure if they linked something oddly.

Thanks

The ones it won't update have been changed manually in some way, and that's
why they won't update.

Only thing I know to do to correct it is to select the series of data labels
and delete it, then add the data labels back on the data series.
