Updating Excel sheet in PowerPoint Slide

I was given a PPT slide with pasted Excel data (I do not have original Excel
file). When I tried to update the Excel data by double clicking, the size of
the Excel sheet was blown-up way out of proportion and I could not get all
rows and columns to fit as before. This has always been an issue with Excel
info pasted into PPT. Any solutions would be appreciated.

Win 2000, PPT 2002, Excel 2002.

After you update the info, click back on the slide to close the spreadsheet.
Then right-click the spreadsheet on the slide and choose Format/Object.
Reset to an appropriate size % on the Size tab.
