updating data in a pivot tables

I write new data to a sheet in a spreadsheet from Access that varies i
size that is the source for a pivot table in the same spreadsheet. Whe
I go to refresh the data in the pivot table I have this problem,

sometimes all the new data won't show up
or I'll get an error about an overlapping pivot table.

Any ideas for a fix
