Pivot Table w/ Access data

I have a pivot table linked to an access database query. I added data in the
access query and refreshed the pivot table, but the new data will not
populate in the pivot table. The odd thing is that while the pivot table is
running I can see the new data populate, but before the pivot table ends
populating the new data disappears. I recreated the pivot table to see if
the data is actually available to run a pivot table, and the new pivot table
works fine. Any suggestions on how to get my old pivot tables to populate
with the new data?

Hi,

This is not completely clear. what versions of Access/Excel are you using?
When you say you can see the data what do you mean, where? in excel or access
or MS Query? Are you using MS Query or SQL code?

Are there any filters applied in MS Query, Excel's pivot table or are there
any Macro attached to the PivotTable Update procedure?

I'm using Excel 2003 & access 2003
When I refresh the pivot table in excel the new data which was entered into
the access database will display in excel for a second and then it
disappears. I'm not sure what method I'm using (i set up the pivot table
using the wizard and linked my excel pivot table to an external database (my
access database which is a query in access). I double check that I don't
have any filters on the pivot table in excel and there are no macros
associated with the pivot table. Thanks for any help you can give! Phil
