updateyoursystem.com hijacker

I am the "proud" owner of this annoying spyware.
The latest signatures of MS AntiSpyware are unable to detect it.

It shows popups, fake balloon tips, and hijacks the start page of the
browser to updateyoursystem.com. It silently installed a software program
called spyaxe, which I uninstalled with add/remove software but this ofcourse
did not solve the issue.

I can provide an antispyware team member access to my system (remote
desktop) for review if they would like to investigate this threat.

Also it would be nice to send the Suspected Spyware Report (through the
Tools menu) to the SpyNet, with some additional comments, to help them in
the process of developing the signatures for MSAS.

updateyoursystem hijacker

Ive also got this very annoying spyware and am finding it extremely difficult to get rid of it.
Ive trawled the net and can find a couple of responses from abroad (Im in UK) but nothing really helpful.

Ive had a look at the suggestions from Mikolaj above, but again its generic spyware removal rather than specfically tailored for 'updateyoursystem'.

Ad-aware, Stinger, TrojanHunter and my newly installed Norton system have so far been unable to restore my homepage setting, although the continual security alert pop-ups have been greatly reduced.

Any ideas?
