Updates

I cant get windows XP Home updates which i was getting previously. It says
right click the updates in prigrammes and then the Administrator name and
password is asked for. I am the only one who uses this computer and there is
no administrator. How can this be resolved ?
Any assistance provided will be highly appreciated.

I have a similar problem.
I was getting regular announcements of updates through
the Automatic Updates, but these seem to have stopped
around 11 February 2004 (date of last update, according
to my installation history).

I haven't tried what Farid has, below, but I, too, am the
only person logged onto this computer (i.e., as far as I
know I never set up a separate administrator account).

start>contol panel>user accounts this will tell you who the administrator is, if there is no name under the administrator have you tried pressing enter after leaving this part blank
don't know if it will work
