Updates won't update

Hi
I am not sure if I am in the right place (I am new to
this). I am having trouble getting my Microsoft updates
to work. The bar goes all the way across indicating the
update is finished after almost three hours but then
says it failed. It has been suggested that I can get a
CD with updates on it and do it that way. Is this true
and where do I get it.

Reboot:
Try #18 and #21 on the Windows Update Checklist for your problem:

If it still fails, follow the rest of the checklist.
