Hiya there

Does anyone have any idea where i can download all the critical (and other)
updates, since service pack 1. I want to save them to cd, and then do a
complete re-install ( in a way make my own service pack 2 i guess ). Is
there a way to identify the downloads since servoice pack 1. And will the
updates that need to be installed pn their own be identified .

Any help much apreciated :-)

Hi Andy

Click on 'Windows Update Catalog' on the Windows Update page. If that option isn't present - click 'Personalise Windows Update' and enable 'Display the link to Windows Update Catalog'.

What I did when I did a re-install a while back was, after installing SP1,
use Automatic Updates (set to notify me of updates available and then
download them when convenient for me). AU downloaded about 40 MB worth of
updates and saved them in the Windows Update directory on the C: drive. I
also copied this folder to my D: drive. I then let AU install the updates
from C:
