I was wondering if there is a file i can edit or a
setting i can get to, to set up allowed items

I have noticed that when you do a probe or try to install
updates with UpdateExpert MAS tries to block it

I have a felling this will be a problem for anyone with a
central point of update pushing, such as UpdateExpert

Thanks for the report--you are posting in the right place.

There's no such facility in this product so far. It is definitely not
suited to enterprise usage, for a variety or reasons.

In case it would be useful for the developers to view this behavior, can you
give a URL for the product involved?

The First time that the UpdateExpert attempts to install
it's commands it prompts and asks if you wish to allow
If you click yes than it works no problem

Also, will there be a way manually add exceptions without
already having one in there? I noticed than you cannot
manage the exceptions until you either block or allow
something for that shield.

A vendor can be added to the "known" list by using the same "vendor dispute
form" as would be used by a vendor disputing a listing by the progam.
