updated drivers and start menu and taskbar

hello,
i recently updated my drivers on my computer, when i turned on my
computer afterwards, i logged on and the start menu and task bar had been
changed to windows 2000 or older settings. i looked into changing the
settings, but the computer thinks that the settings are currently on version
XP. how can i change this to XP version instead of windows 2000 or older.
thanks in advance

Make sure that the Themes service is set to Automatic and running.

Open Services...
Start | Run | Type: services.msc | Click OK |
Scroll down to and double click Themes | Click the V next to Startup type |
Select Automatic | Click the Apply button | Click the Start button |
When the Themes service has started, click OK | Close Services

If that doesn't do it, visit here...

Read the instructions at the top.

One of these ought to help.

187. Restore Themes Functionality

187. Right hand side
Restore Luna Theme

214. Right hand side
Windows XP Style Changes to Windows Classic

271. Stuck in Classic View? Undo Now

If Luna.theme was missing and you downloaded it (187. Right hand side
Restore Luna Theme).

Luna.theme belongs in
C:\WINDOWS\Resources\Themes
or
%windir%\Resources\Themes
