Update

Has anyone had trouble with the security update 329834?
My system slowed noticeably after downloading and
installing this one. And also a friend who has optioned
for "automatic updates" is having the update to repeat
itself daily.

Hey thanks for the page, I searched Google and microsoft
Support and couldn't find it myself. We have renamed the
ebd.log file on my friend's machine per the article. Time
will tell there. As for my computer, I have uninstalled
the update on my system because I am not really sure we
need this update. Which now brings me to trying to figure
out what the heck Point-to-Point-Tunneling Protocol is,
lol.

Wonderful, complete, accurate, easy to follow advice! Too bad none of
it fixes the recursive update problem....

Thanks very much for the link. I've fixed the problem in a much better
way IMO, I finally was able to googled up a Windows 2000 ATI driver for
my laptop and switched it over to Windows 2000, reformatted the
harddrive on my desktop and switched it back to 2k also.

I'm MUCH happier w/o the recursive update problem and the MANY other
bugs I was having with XP. I've no idea why I had so many problems but
there were a bunch I absolutely couldn't live with and for which I
couldn't find any fix.

I think I'll be sticking with Win2k, at least until I change to a 64bit
PC and that's not in the near future....
