update win 2k

I changed motherboards. Updating Win 2k to Win 2k the first time seemed to work OK except I couldn't get connection wizzard to accept an ISP name, even if I followed the rules. I tried to find where to reload the wizzard but couldn't so in desperation I thought I'd re-update Win 2k. Now I am in an endless loop that gives a stop error 0x000000CE that says there seems to be an error in driver usrserft.sys that unloads without ending pending operations. The update process does a memory dump then restarts. Any ideas would be appreciated.

What do you mean by "update Win 2K?" Did you reformat

your hard drive after installing the new motherboard? Or
are you referring to Windows updates (patches, drivers,
etc.)? I'm assuming you don't have an internet connection
and therefore cannot obtain Windows updates. You may need
to boot from your Windows 2000 CD to reinstall the
drivers if you are just reformatting the drive. More info
would help.
