Update tries to install SP1 when I've already got SP2

Windows update failed to log onto page. So I did what was advised that is to
Start>Run... regedit OK
Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Control/Windows
doubleclick CSDVersion key in right frame
change value to 0 (zero) (was 200)

This did enable me to log onto the WindowsXP Update page BUT it then tried
to update my XP+SP2 with SP!. Couldn't believe it. So I cancelled the
installation.

I've lost confidence in Windows Update !!!

Have I done anything wrong? What should I do now?
 
Let it. Once it downloaded SP1 and started the install in will see that you
already have SP2 and cancel the install. I don't know if it will remove it
from 'available updates' though.
