I normally choose which Microsoft updates to download and install. I
recently installed current updates, except for what I remember as being
Windows SP2 and Office SP3. I have been expecting soon to update to SP2,
which had been recommended.

The other day I made the mistake on the Dell/McAfee screen of clicking on
'Windows update' instead of 'Virus update'. The server immediately started
downloading. I suspect, but am not sure, that it was the SP2 and SP3 updates
that were being downloaded. I panicked, and shut down the computer during
the download. When I rebooted, the download continued and completed.

I'm now being asked to install. I've gone as far as the "How do you want to
install the updates?" screen and no further.

I'm very afraid that the download is corrupted/incomplete, and that I'm
going to be in a hell of a lot of trouble if I try to install the 'bad'
download. I'm stressed out!

Can I get rid of the likely corrupted/incomplete download, and start over
under less stress? This is what I would like to do, to relieve my stress. Or
is it possible to redo the download in such a way that it will correct all
problems? Then I'll do the update the right way.

Clear the contents of the Windows Update folder (hidden folder) under
program files.
