Update to Outllook lost recent messages.

I did a Microsoft update to Outllook to stop spam. It put all kinds of old
undelivered messages in my inbox and lost all recent messages that I had
there. How do I go back to the old version without loosing what I had
received after the update. I could restore to an old date to get back the
lost messages but that would loose my recent messages.

I also just discovered that my address book in Outlook is a complete blank.
I am not happy. I guess if I ever get back to Outlook before the update,
then I will not update again. I guess I should have heeded the old "If it
ain't broke, don't fix it" rule.

What version of Outlook did you use and what version are you using now?
Chances are your mail's not gone.
