update problems for .NET Framework 2.0 and 3.0

Tried back in September and it failed then to but I don't know why

Were not installed
Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0: x64 (KB829019)
Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0: x64 (KB928416)

I am getting a very similar response...unable to install updates for .Net
Framework Version 2.0 (KB928365) 2 of 4 failed, and I don't know why. I have
researched for several hours with no luck of finding help on how to fix this.
I , too, have OS Windows XP Professional Media Center Edition and have
already downloaded SP3.
I did recently remove SP1 and I am wondering if that caused this problem.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
