Update not taking

M T D

Every day my windows update tells me there is a new
update available, and everyday (for the past 8 days) I
have run the update and recieved the messeage that I need
the following critical update: "Critical update for
Windows media player script commands (kb828026)" I
download and install every time and the Windows download
log tells me it was successful. But then it still tells
me I need the same update right after install. I have
done this 8 times and I even tried turning off my Norton
Antivirus and I still have the Windows update manager
telling me I need this update. What's going on and how
do I fix?

Many times this can be fixed by uninstalling the update and reinstalling it.
Have you tried that?

Same thing happened to me...You can write Microsoft thru the update page or do what was told to me.. By the way this was the same update that did the same thing to me just a week ago..
All you need to do is uninstall it from add and remove programs and download the update and install from your hard drive
Heres the link to download it my friend
1) Go to Start --> Control Panel
2) Open Add/Remove Programs option and then click on the Update 828026. Once you are there you will be presented with a remove button, please click on that and uninstall the Update. When the Update will be uninstalled please use the following link to install the Update

MAKE SURE YOUR ANTI VIRUS IS OFF!!!!!
After you uninstall it I want you to reboot first!!!!!!!!!!
Then double clcik on the exe file you downloaded.
Check Windows update now! You should be fine
