I am instructed by Micro Trent Security to update my Office 2000. I can read
about the problem but cannot find a place to download the patch

Yes, my system is set for automatic updates. That is why I am surprised that
I get these warnings that I need to update. My automatic updates evidently
do not carry over to Microsoft Office 2000

No, Automatic Updates doesn't cover Office 2000 because it is out of
support.

I've been to the site several times (Description of the security update for
Word 2000: October 9, 2007). The description is adequate and gives all kinds
of information but I cannot find where to go to get a download that will
solve the problem. I have updated to SP-3 (9.0.8961SP-3) some weeks ago
before the current problem was announced. I was able to stop warnings for
several MSO7 bulletins in the 02x range. But I cannot determine how to
solve the 060 problem, this solution that has three versions since October 9.

Thanks for your help. I found I had to use Microsoft browser not Mozilla.
With Internet Explorer I got to the download page.
