McAfee Stinger v2.4.7

Overview :

Stinger is a stand-alone utility used to detect and remove specific
viruses. It is not a substitute for full anti-virus protection, but
rather a tool to assist administrators and users when dealing with an
infected system. Stinger utilizes next generation scan engine
technology, including process scanning, digitally signed DAT files, and
scan performance optimizations.

What's New:

"expiration date" ??

Earlier versions don't time out, do show outdated message.

And, has anyone run this on W95?

I found it would not run in W95.

My apologies then, for any misdirection. Have you tried F-Prot/DOS? Seems
like it would work, although not in a GUI environment.

Thanks, I already use F-Prot in W98SE. Stinger is nice as it's small and
self-contained, but not for W95. This is a used 486 with W95, and I wanted to find
out if viruses were present.
