Today (Jun22), wehn I turn on my PC, windows update notifies that Defender
has new updates (KB892519) to download, I click the icon, download & install
this one without any error, but few second later, it notifies me again! I do
the update agian & again & again... can't figure out what's wrong with it
while knowing there definitly is something WRONG.

During the installation, my antivirus ware tells me:
..\SoftwareDistribution\Download\Install\mpas-f.exe
Modifies HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Runonce
Change <wextract_cleanup0> to "rundll32.exe
...\System32\advpack.dll,DelNodeRunDLL32

My OS is WinXP Pro SP2.
Can anyone here help me out ? Thanks alot!

Check "About Windows Defender" and if think you will find that it did not
really update to 1.13.1276.16. If it didn't update, run the Windows
Installer Cleanup Utility and remove the Windows Defender Definitions only
(not the Windows Defender program). Then run WD update - either Help,
About, Check for Updates or use Microsoft Update to download and install the
new definitions.

If you don't have the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility, you can download it
from:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;290301

I don't know what causes the failure to update, this method seems to fix the
problem.
