Update freezes Microsoft Antispyware

I downloaded and installed the latest version of Microsoft Antispyware, and
even though I have ensured that is has full access to the web via my firewall
the program freezes every time I attempt to update the signature file. I
have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but to no avail. I have used this
program since it first came out and never had any problems before. Any
suggestions? BTW, I run XP SP2 as my OS. Thanks.

Same problem happens to me. I ran Microsoftt Antispyware OK previously but I
have had it unistalled for some weeks. Now I cant get past updater. Help
please!

After I installed the latest version, I could no longer manually update. The
update pop up says "Unable to connect to the Internet" and the whole thing
freezes leading eventually to an error report to Microsoft.
