update FORM not table

I went to the firm credit card on line and copied the entries into the table
in my expense database, which is the record source for a subfrm for
mastercard details. When I go to the subform there are no entries. But,
when I go to the main form the entries are showing. I tried an append query,
but that did not work. Then, I tried an update query, but can't do that for
a form, can you? How do I get the entries into the subform without
duplicating them?
 
From the tblMCDetail. I checked the data sources etc. and went to the
subform again and it is still blank. I did note that when I initially open
the main form the subform is also blank until I scroll down and then it shows
the subform entries. Very weird! I have never had this happen before.
