I have windows xp pro w/ sp2. When I try to update I recieve Error number:
0x8ddd0002 with the following message; "To install items from Windows
Update, you must be logged on as an administrator or a member of the
Administrators group. If your computer is connected to a network, network
policy settings might also prevent you from completing this procedure". I
have only 1 acct. set up, which is me, and it has admin. I also tried
rebooting in admin. under safe mode with network and no avail. My system is
connected to a home network. Never had this problem until a few weeks ago.
I solved it before by doing a complete install, but I have done this 3 times
already!!! Argh. So, what does 0x8ddd0002 really mean and how can I correct
without a complete install. Any suggestions will be GREATLY appreciated.
