DVDFab Express is simply the easiest way to copy
a DVD movie. Just insert the movie and a blank DVD
then press Start. Your entire movie - including menus,
trailers and special features - is copied to a single DVD
with just one click, and everything happens automatically.

DVDFab Decrypter is a simple version of DVDFab Express.
It copies entire DVD movie to hard disk, and removes all the
protections (CSS, RC, RCE, APS, UOPs and Sony ARccOS)
while copying.



We all know DVD Decrypter is a great DVD ripper, why we
need another one? Well, the reason is DVD Decrypter's
development has stopped, so it will not support newer
version of Sony ARccOS protection automatically. Fortunately,
DVDFab Decrypter is always updated to support latest protection,
so you can backup your DVD movies to hard disk as before.
For example, Movie 'Closer' cannot be copied by DVD Decrypter
automatically, but with the help of DVDFab Decrypter, you can
copy it without problem.

Maybe it was a "call home" thingy
If I'm not mistaken, DVDFab Decrypter has that to see
if there are any newer version out
