Attempted to create a backup.
1. ran dvdfab decrypter and saved the movie to the hard drive
2. ran dvd shrink.
3. burned both the audio_ts and video_ts directories from the hard drive to
a blank Verbatim DVD+R

The movie plays perfect on my pc's dvd drive, but will not play on the dvd
player connect to my tv.
Tried it on another tv/dvd player with same result.

What did I do wrong? Should I have copied all the files only to the dvd and
not the 2 directories?
Is there a setting somewhere I missed?

The DVD may have needed Finalising to play on a standalone DVD
player...only a guess maybe completely wrong...

Probably not.

I have 3 DVD players. One of them plays almost anything I throw into
it. The second one plays most of my copies. The third one plays only
DVD+RWs, and even then it has spots where it pixellates or
freezes/skips.

Some og the older players, even though they claim to play DVD-R, DVD+R
and the RWs, work best on one type or another and some of them only
work poorly at best on copies. (There's a big difference in the
technology on a DVD you burn vs. a DVD that was pressed.)

BTW, the audio_ts directory will be empty - it's only included for
very old players that won't play a DVD that doesn't have it. I've
never copied it.
