I gave up on BSPlayer after deciding that it is a buggy as my old
commercial DVD player. Kept locking up while playing DVDs. I also didn't
like it when the program changed to PROmotionware. Switched to Media
Player Classic, haven't had one lockup or other problem since.

To be fair though, maybe Boris has fixed the problem which most likely
is codec related.

I am not a BS Player fan. I agree with your assessment. However, someone
goaded me into trying it again yesterday. I must admit it has been improved
a LOT. I still prefer MPC, but I no longer consider BS Player to be
worthless. Not *totally worthless, that is.

Hmmm. Maybe I'll give it another try then. Thanks, Bob.

I use MPC and BSPlayer side-by-side. I've had no real problems with the
latter and it proves useful when MPC fails from time to time for whatever
reason. (I do wish MPC allowed custom vidcap names.)
