We know it's way overdue, but still the AbiWord team is happy to
announce the availability of AbiWord v2.4.5. This release a bugfix
release only, but this time the amount of bugfixes is rather huge.
Especially the import and export filters have received a lot of
attention due to the Google Summer of Code program, which is funding
these developments.
The changes from v2.4.4 to v2.4.5 include, amongst others:
# Almost completely rewrote the DocBook export filter, gaining
substantial more functionality in the process
# Fixed a security bug pointed out to us by Joxean Koret (thanks!)
# Fixed a massive amount of bugs in the OpenDocument import and export
filters
# Fixed the unstability on x86_64 architectures
AbiWord is a free word processing program similar to Microsoft® Word. It
is suitable for a wide variety of word processing tasks.
