Unwanted program

I clicked on something on the internet and things were installed on my
computer I do not want.I've done popup and virus scans and delleted the
spyware but still get popups about Malware threats and trojans.Evidently
this is some companys way of trying to sell you something you don't want.A
program has been installed called system popup alert.I tried to remove it
but it won't let me.Anyone know of a way to get rid of this? There should be
laws against such business practices.It is worse that a virus.Any help would
be appreciated. Thanks

You might want to try 'Recovery/GoBack' to the last known good boot.

Otherwise, how long have you had the system running? If over a year, then it might time to a do a house cleaning (backup), and then
do a clean/new install.

Some people 'Slam' their computers every year or so. Just reinstalling your OS and all of your applications should make things run
faster. Clean house to put stuff.

As for any law, what was the web-site caused this problem.
