Unwanted key shortcuts

Hi,

Recently, I am not sure why, some of the keys on my laptop have assigned
themselves really annoying shortcuts. These work in any window that is open
(as long as the shortcut applies). Am example: the "L" key maximises the
window to full screen, the same as F11. The "R" key is the same as insert.
This is most annoying in internet explorer, since the window keeps changing
size, but it also happens in normal windows i.e. my documents etc.
I've tried using Adaware and virus checked, but with no luck.
Any help??

could be a setting to do with your laptop keyboard ? my Dell does
similar when you press Fn and various others it gets messed up and
takes ages to sort....

This is a dell laptop as well. Is there anything you can do to sort it? It's
already been a while and is quite annoying!

I guess its somthing to do with the FN (function) keys, seen this quite
a bit even on my own dell, do a google search for something like your
dell what ever model and turn on FN or function on keyboard.

Thanks for the help systemtek. I phoned up Dell in the end and they said it
was just the keyboard breaking - I now have a new keyboard and it's all
working perfectly!

Cheers,
Simon
