Unwanted file

I downloaded a jpeg file that has no properties. The description and the
thumbnail are all that is present. When I right click to delete the option
is not available. There isn't anything to preview. When I try to File,
Delete it does not go away. I have downloaded a unlock program but it
doesn't recognize it either. Please help. Thanks.

Reboot your machine and while starting back up keep hitting the F8 key until
you get a menu selection asking how you want to start. Choose Safe Mode.
Hopefully this will let you delete the file but it doesn't always work so
easy so post back here if it doesn't as there are other ways.

As Smoker mentioned try to Delete it in safe Mode, also try to scan your
computer for malwares and Run Disk Cleanup on your Drive (C:\).
Download these software and scan for malwares:

http://www.safer-networking.org

Also download this tool to delete the JPEG if you can't delete in Safe Mode:
http://www.purgeie.com/delinv/index.htm
Be careful though on what you are deleting with it, also you can use it to
clear your caches and Temp files.
HTH.
