unwanted favorites added

Hi,

My 14yr old son went to some site on the internet that has
added an annoying feature to IE6. Everytime we restart
his computer, he gets a bunch of porn sites added to his
favorites pulldown, on the top menu and under links.
Also, his home page gets set to webcoolsearch.com. Any
idea how to fix this? Any help is greatly appreciated.

yes i would like to know how to rix this problem. I continually get coolmp3 loading on my favourites and desktop. i was advised to install spybot search and destroy but this did not find anything - it found a million other things but not this one..
any other ideas?

Manually delete the urls from favorites.

It sounds like you have a "parasite" Go to this URL:
http://www.doxdesk.com/parasite/InternetOptimizer.html
At the bottom of the page is a link for detection that
will tell you what parasite you have and how to delete it.

I found Hackthis and it seems to alow you access to the tool bar and autopopup stuff it is hard to use though
