Unwanted bridge

I have a leftover bridge in the network connections. When I tried to delete
using the menu options it returns an error and does not remove it.

Any suggestions?

Just a Guess.
If this Bridge involnes 1394, disable the Firewire.

There is indeed a 1394 involved. What's the best way to disable it i.e. how
do you do this?

Is there a reference to an article or explenations on Firewire and networks
etc. anywhere I could read?
