Bridge connections - but no bridge!

Wireless Lan and IE1344 Adapters are both reported as being bridge connected
in Network Connctions, and icons are shown under the heading Network Bridge
- there is however no bridge installed!
So this MS advice does not really apply:

I'm not sure whether you're trying to create or remove the network
bridge between those connections.

If you're trying to create it, CTRL-click both connections,
right-click them, and click "Bridge Connections".

If you're trying to remove it, right-click the Wireless LAN
connection. Does "Remove from Bridge" appear in the menu? If so,
click "Remove from Bridge", then repeat the procedure for the IEEE
1394 connection.

Running the Network Setup Wizard might let you create or remove the
bridge, too.

Thank you for your reply. Sorry if I wasn't clear about what I am trying to
do. But it is removing a bridge that does not exist!
"Remove from Bridge" does not appear in either of the menues, while "Delete"
is grayed out. Nevertheless both Wireless LAN and IEEE 1394 are reported as
Bridge connected - and no Network Bridge is visible.
Running Network Setup Wizard does not give any options regarding removing or
creating Bridge Connections.
What I'm trying to do is swiching from ethernet to wireless - and I can now
connect to Internet through Wireless LAN, Wireless Router and Cable Modem.
Windows Security Center warns that Windows Firewall is not Active. (Using
wired LAN firewall is activated - Wired LAN connection is now deactivated).
Network Client program, protocols and services are however not shown under
properties for the the Wireless connection - instead it is reported that it
is part of a bridge connection.
I hope this explains my problem.
