I have the same problem since Tuesday. I lost my ADSL connection upon
starting the computer and any program I try to run I get the "Bad
Image"
error message. I have run Adware and Spybot and both gave clean
results. I
can not run Norton AV since I am getting the same error. I can not
uninstall
Norton in order to Install the NAV2005. I tried directly to install the
NAV2005 but gives an install error and quits. Micro Center told me that
I
have to reinstall WINXP Pro from my recovery disks. Is this the
solution?
What else can I do?
I am desperate.
Please reply
Thanks

Thanks again for the advice.
Your welcome. Spyware is a pain. Unfortunately there are no shortcuts
to
remove it.

Thanks again. I noticed when I do a file seach "dinst.exe" as an
application is there. Can I get away with just deleting this
without
doing the spyware,adware checking?
No

Uninstalling the game only won't solve the problem. You have to run
those
tools which I have mentioned earlier.

Thanks for the advice but I noticed this started happening after
I
installed a particular game. Uninstalling the game has not
fixed
it.
I'd appreciate any further advice.

Scan your system with latest virus definitioned antivirus,as
well
as
with Adaware,Spybot,Search and Destroy,CWShredder.
Run all the latest versions in safe mode.

I am suddenly getting a error message "dinst.exe - Bad Image.
The
application or DLL C:\Windows \ dsr.dll is not a valid
windows
image. Please check this against your installation disc."
What
is
this and is it possible to get rid of this? This can pop up at
any
time no matter what program I am using. Thanks
