wupdt.exe-bad image error

G

Guest

After I installed the latest Windows service pack update, I now get a pop up
that reads: wupdt.exe-Bad image. The application or DLL C:\winnt\dsr.dll is
not a valid windows image. Please check against installation diskette.
Thanks for any info and help.

What anti-virus programme are you using? Are virus definitions regularly
updated?

Turn system restore off and then run your anti-virus after updating in
safe mode. Then turn system restore back on.

What anti-spyware programmes are you running? Do you have a firewall?

Have you updated your Windows XP to SP2 ( or SP1) ?

Hope this helps.
