Unusual error message for WinXP

After losing my broadband connection, I re-installed it and received the error message: "the ordinal 1385 cannot be found in the dynamic link libeay32.dll" What little I could find about this message seemed unrelated to WinXP Home Edition
I had changed some settings in Network Connections to use a proxy, which did not work, and then changed the settin
back to the exact same way they were. A system restore, even to the time when I first install my broadband software and did not receive this message did not work. At the end of the installation, I still got that same error message.

probably caused by another program which has added another older version of
libeay.dll in the system32 path.

try renaming that to something else (if you search for libeay32.dll you will
almost certainly find other instances of it)
