Unremovable registry key

B

Ben.Czajkowski

Recently, my computer was bombarded with some spyware/adware/malware
that installed itself on my system, somehow bypassing Spysweeper. I've
seemingly removed everything...

Except for a registry key that's associated with some medium threat
level adware called Searchbar.html. Spysweeper, spyboy, and adaware
can't remove the key permanently. It keeps reappearing. I've tried
removing it myself dozens of times, as I have done with other keys, and
it won't go away.

I can't find anything online that will help me out, so any suggestions
or comments would be greatly appreciated.

Take ownership of the registry key and give yourself full permissions.
