Hello,
Does anyone know if I can unregister my windows Xp and
how can I find out if it ever was registered?

To register with microsoft you can go to start, run and type "regwiz /r"
(without quotes). This will allow you to go through a wizard and get the
product registered.
Far as checking to see if it is registered, you can check that by right
clicking on my computer, going to properties and checking on the general tab
to see who it says it is registered to.

that information is not neccesarily registered with Microsoft - that is the
person who owns the licence to the software!

Do you mean registered, or activated?
Activation only ties XP to a given hardware configuration, nothing more.
Registration is primarily to further Microsoft's marketing goals.
If you could elaborate on your situation, we could give you a more precise
answer.
