unrecognized RAM

I have a Dell Dimension 8200, originally bought with 1.87
Gigs of RAM. Now it only detects 256 MB and my computer
is much slower than it used to be. Has anyone had
similiar expierences? Or know how to correct this?

Matt, did you try swapping the modules around in the slots? Go here and
try Memtest.
