FWIW. Off topic as far as equipment question but I can offer 2 good
experiences with Dell online transactions.
1. Dimension 530/Vista home premium/Core 2 duo 8200/3 gigs ram/500 gig
HDD/DVDR/19" monitor. Nothing special but good for a few years.
2. Dimension 530N/Ubuntu 8.04/Core 2 Quad 6600/2 gigs ram/250 gig HDD/DVDR.
Both transactions went very smoothly once Dells convoluted website was
figured out! Found three different offers for the same machine but it
was worth the hunt.
With the advent of so much external expansion capability these days I
rarely consider any internal work.
